Family, a tribute
These four pieces that I created were based on the family members in my life who were influential, and they are also based on the locations which resonate the most with them to me.
With all of the pieces I use 3d and 2d source creation tools common in the game development industry. Tools such as 3ds Max, Maya, After Effects, Substance and Photoshop all have influence on the output of each piece.
I relied heavily upon the skills that I learned during my time working in the video game industry. In this industry, I was essentially an environment artist but I also worked in motion capture. cinematics, editing while working with animators, producers, and programmers in creating interactive products and fun, exciting games.
The next step in these types of pieces will be to create interactive NFT pieces which offer small bits of interactivity in conjunction with music and animation to offer interesting and unique experiences.

It starts off with West Texas which shows windmills and a slight concept of cotton in the desert. This is where I was born and this is where my family is essentially from as far as my mind is concerned. My family is one of the original families that helped found the Lubbock county area and have been involved with the agricultural scene for a couple of generations.

The next piece is called Route 66 which is based upon the travels that my mom and her husband went on when they were young, then where we went when I was young and it's supposed to reflect the concepts of the deserts Arizona New Mexico and California
One of the goals of this particular piece was to try to envision the concept of movement motion and the joy of road trips long nights with multiple other passengers and drivers and enjoying the freedom of the road

My brother moved to California to chase wines. He has degrees based in culinary arts and hospitality, which he used throughout the 20 years he worked there. When I visited him, I was mystified by the geography, the vineyards and farms sprawling among the rolling hills. It's not hard to see why people would flock to that part of the world

This is the state my son’s mother is from and when we lived there, I don’t know if I ever fell more in love with an area than I did with this one. Oddly enough, it is also the most challenging location I have ever lived in. I will not say it was all magical, because it was also where I lost nearly everything I thought was important. My skewed views coming from central Texas had no real chance of surviving in this area without help. Still, the lighthouse imagery is meant to represent my son, and while he was born in Texas, he lived in Rhode Island for a good chunk of his life. Neither of us have plans to head back for more than a short visit, but the impact it had on me will stay forever.
